The Fourth Degree


In addition to the Knights of Columbus founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Fourth Degree is dedicated to Patriotism which fosters love of God and Country.  The Fourth Degree plays a vital role in re-invigorating society’s patriotic renewal.  Those knights that are members of St. Mary of the Hills Council #13950, having completed the exemplification of the Fourth Degree, are now eligible to join the Divine Mercy 4th Degree Assembly #3082.  The assembly, which includes knights from Fr. Baumgartner Council #5452, Sacred Heart Council #8659 and Fr. Fashta Council #10343, meets on the last Tuesday of each month at Sacred Heart Church in the Fr. Kreft hall.  Meetings begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.  This assembly is part of the Father Hennepin Province, Michigan District #1.


New members are encouraged to join the Color Corps.  However, it is not mandatory that they do so.  Color Corps members participate in Corporate Communions, Chalice presentations, a Church or Priest’s Anniversary at a Parish, marching in a parade, participating in a dedication for a monument to the Unborn, a Living Rosary or standing guard at a Sir Knights casket.  As one can see, this Patriotic Degree shows an unwavering commitment and love to the Church and our Country.


 

4th Degree
